Climate tech is full of world-changing breakthroughs, but too often, the real work happens behind closed doors: inside labs, boardrooms, and late-night Slack threads. This makes the people building our future hard to find, hard to understand, and harder still to support early. We’re here to change that.

We interview the operators, scientists, and investors pushing the edges of climate hardtech: from advanced materials to industrial decarbonization to next-generation manufacturing. We turn those conversations into human-centered narratives including primers, market maps, and behind-the-scenes commentary that illuminate what’s coming next and what it will take to scale it. PostLinear provides a launchpad for solid decisionmaking accessible to anyone in the ecosystem, no matter your background.

Progress isn’t a straight line. The technologies and systems that reshape the world move in curves, loops, and spirals — slow at first, then accelerating, revisiting ideas at deeper and more capable levels. PostLinear reflects that shape of real transformation: iterative, cumulative, and eventually exponential. We’re here for the part of the curve where new tough tech realities take hold.

Anna is a strategy and commercialization leader in climate and industrial decarbonization. She has been in the operator seat, leading partnerships and early market development for hardtech and energy startups, as well as supporting investment in climate venture capital. Anna is a Cleantech Open mentor and an angel investor in waste-to-value and advanced materials. She holds an M.S. in Environmental Engineering and Science from Johns Hopkins University, where she focused on waste engineering. Previously, she founded a solo editorial illustration practice, where she translated tough-to-explain science and tech stories into compelling visuals. She is passionate about narrative-building as a tool to scale climate ventures.

Ariel completed their Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry at Boston University in 2020, followed by a Master’s in Public Policy with a focus in Environmental Justice from the Heller School at Brandeis University. They have since become a climate tech venture investor with a passion for impact. Ariel brings both scientific rigor and a human touch to their work, which includes research and analysis of everything from local transportation policy to critical mineral recovery. Sustainable polymers recycling and rare earth elements are key areas of expertise. They enjoy communicating across disciplines to bring together stakeholders from the private sector, public sector, and academia, building understanding and collaboration to get big things done. You can often find Ariel at the computer with a cup of tea at hand and a cat getting in the way.

We’re always looking to learn from founders, operators, scientists, investors, and ecosystem builders working on climate hardtech. If you’d like to be interviewed, share research or notes from your corner of the world, or collaborate on a topic we’re exploring, please fill out the form below.
